Tasting note :
It is ruby-red with its aroma of blackcurrant and marasca cherries, with notes of Peruvian pepper and sweet spices. Its equilibrium makes it a suitable accompaniment for a range of dishes, but it is also a great match fora good seasoned cheese.
Winemaker’s note :
San Polo is a fairly new winery in the Brunello region, which is owned by Marilisa Allegrini, of the famed Amarone producing family in the Veneto. The idea behind San Polo was clear: to maximize the potential of the terroir, make the quest for quality, a priority beyond compromise and offer our company and the market another opportunity to expand and develop, thanks to the prestigious wines of Montalcino. The potential of their terroirs means that the Sangiovese varietal is always at the forefront of the pursuit of quality beyond compromise. The result is a range of excellent wines which express 100% Tuscan personality.
